Ahhhh . . . a bird that I'm familiar with.

Knocked out image.
Impressionist for bg.
Paint engine to smooth out bg.
Embossed bg slightly.
Adapt.eq for subject texture.
FP Lacquer to give depth.
Optipix on subject to further detail (copied several layers).
Enhanced colors with Nik skylight & brilliance.
Sharpened.
Hue & sat adjustment.
Contrast adjustment.

Good find Palms thanks for keeping the ball rolling. Nice pub sign see you there
He looks like he's having a good strut about there, especially with his girlfriend in tow.
Used Lucis and overlaid a bas-relief for texture and then some D&B for highlighting, also desaturated the greens a little (too much for the eye).

Off to put my drops in now,
welcome back Peter, the eye seems to be working well ( dont over do it ! )

and you put your OWN eye drops in ? i ususaly end up having to do it for my squeamish bunch

Thanks for the welcome back, its good to try and get back to normal. The drops, I have to, no-one else here right now to take the burden from me thats why I'm sneaking some time to do this stuff, keep it to yourself!!!
