Neve -- a handsome fellow! Jaykita -- nice job, though a scary thought.

JustChecking -- interesting effect! Neve -- I like this soft look.

I decided to try both a k-scope and a more literal image. The 2nd one is a Sketch -->Stamp layer using red/green taken from the image and then inverted with an original layer above it set to overlay mode. (Photoshop)

Thanks CJ and Pam! The soft look is done making a rectangular feather selection of 25? around him, copying and pasting into a new image with the gingham background or whatever else you choose for a bg. Very bold results CJ.

A few strokes in corel painter, then off to ps7 to combine with sketch layer, render clouds layer and a painted border.

You've got your own very distinctive style/s Jaykita. I love this simplistic approach yet it's so effective. Thanks for sharing!

Ahhhh . . . a bird that I'm familiar with.

Knocked out image.
Impressionist for bg.
Paint engine to smooth out bg.
Embossed bg slightly.
Adapt.eq for subject texture.
FP Lacquer to give depth.
Optipix on subject to further detail (copied several layers).
Enhanced colors with Nik skylight & brilliance.
Sharpened.
Hue & sat adjustment.
Contrast adjustment.

Lqqker, you've achieved a subtle embossing effect very well. Great result.

Palms

Good find Palms thanks for keeping the ball rolling. Nice pub sign see you there
He looks like he's having a good strut about there, especially with his girlfriend in tow.
Used Lucis and overlaid a bas-relief for texture and then some D&B for highlighting, also desaturated the greens a little (too much for the eye).

Peter

Off to put my drops in now,
