Second to computing, I love X-Stitching. Thanks for the offer but I already have an X-Stitch Software Program for converting images.

Question Neve...

Does X-Stitch Software give details on the colors used?

I would love to get into adding X-cross patterns to the pictures i sell online.

Hi Legacy....good idea! I have a cheap version of this program which is adequate for my needs.

http://www.husqvarnastudio.co.uk/sof...crossstitcher/

I had the same idea years ago i.e. to use my own designs but it seemed like hard work to moi, if only I were 20 years younger, got the ideas but not the energy anymore

Here are more X-Stitch programs....

http://www.hobbyware.com/

I also have a links page at my site with a list of free X-Stitch patterns available on the net, you may enjoy a look at those sites too.....

went for Monet...

First I want to apologize, I'm exhausted this morning, so I can't give the same amount of detail as usual.

First ran Unsharp Mask.
Used Danny's Chalk: Soft Detail Pastel Rain, faded to 25%
then JCH's Van Gogh.
Then Danny's Paint: Dry Brush Scrappy., faded a bit.
Custom filter.
Add texture using a layer mask.

Lovely garden, LegacyArt! Some very nice renditions -- glikster's Monet is my current fav, I think.

I added a Diffuse Glow to top layer, then painted on a layer mask to reduce the effect in some places - then ran pointillize on the mask. Liked the effect, and then made a mask from the red channel to make some change to the green leafy areas -- wasn't too happy with several tries, but then tried Pointillize on that selection and liked it. Thanks, ByRo, for the inspiration.

Copied final and set layer blend to Overlay to enhance colors.

wow!

some people would think that I create photo-art just to fuel my ego when it turns out well.... They wouldn't be so far from the truth...
No seriously, it means an enormous amount to me that the incredibly talented and creatively honest members of this board enjoyed my rendition.
You all inspire me to create art.
Thank you!
