| | | Played around with Danny's suggestion about using Smart Blur, Edges only. Masked out Pamela and changed background to frosted ice sheet.
Cheers

| | | Thank you Elle! The background on the first pic really doesn't do justice to the ice. We had a beautifu, sunny day on the island today. I broke the ice on top of our Koi pond and it had this wonderful bubbly texture. Holding it up to the sun was spectacular. Couldn't capture it in the image though. Keep on truckin' !
I really like a lot of the stuff you're crankin out!

| | | I love black and white. I ran a good buzz on her, then did VP watercolor, kinda heavy, then PM hand drawing, then merged with the original that was buzzed.
The second one I buzzed the PM hand drawing first to eliminate the "dirt"

| | | I had to give this another shot...
BG same NeatImage smoothed starting point as my 1st post
A: Copy BG. AccentedEdges
B: Copy BG. NotePaper. Invert. (Difference. 100%)
C: Copy BG. Cutout. (Overlay, 45%)
D: The torn edges outline sketch from my 1st post. (Multiply, 33%)
E: MergeVis (A,B,C,D). AngledStrokes (Normal, 49%) Layermask to refine
F: MergeVis(A,B,C,D). DiffuseGlow (Normal, 27%). Layermask to refine
G: Curves Adj. to darken the lighter areas some.
This made a respectable pencil (plus charcoal?) sketch I think.

| | Dave: Very inventive frosting concept and the inverse white on black BG is striking.
Amy: Always glad to see your creativity. Keep 'em coming.

I agree. Ya done good. The NotePaper-Invert-Difference combo is awesome. You've inspired me to tinker! |

| | Trying to improve on sketching her in Painter. Wanted a softer look as I felt the last one was too harsh, hard looking. This took a while but enjoyed the exprimenting as always in Painter.
P.S. This wasn't cloned, I used a sketch outline using Xero Pastellise filter applied in PSP first. I worked with the photo alongside my canvas in Painter. Deleted the pastellised outline when finished and placed new drawing onto a new white layer. Did some touching up in PSP after.

| | increeeeeedible results, people
who would believe you can get so much from b&w? hehe
-----------
just used channel mixer (50, 70, 30, -20, mono), stamp vis, 4 copies, and used the "pencil" in curves on each layer, simple horizontal lines... |

| | | A great pic but I was having difficulty resolving the breast line angle. Lqqker, I think you're tight crop has solved that problem.

| | | Here's my Pamela.
I used an art history tutorial I found in the tutorials forum, then messed around a bit with Gaussian blur on every area but her face. I used Leah's B&W from color tutorial to take the color out. |
