Re: Creative challenge 001: Pamela in BW

I needed a diversion to fine art. I dupped for three layers, used Mathmap to desaturate the image (like the result better then regular desaturation; just more excuses to play with my new toy), set the result to Grain Extract. Merged the Top two layers and set the resulting layer to divide to get the Highkey/contrast result. Final regular desat step and some contrast enhancements.

Re: Creative challenge 001: Pamela in BW

Wonderful inspirational efforts from everyone
I'm still pushing buttons and today I found the salt and pepper filter, how on earth do you remember them all!

I do know I'm going to have to get a tablet, it's hard using the mouse, and upgrade my old 'puter. I downloaded Painter but the poor old girl just froze on me lol!

Still, there's lots to learn with what I've got and here's my take on Pamela.
Touched up skin, smoothed, highlighted eyes and mouth and into the lightroom....see I'm starting to remember what I've done

Here's my attempt. A fairly straightforward B&W conversion. I wanted to go for a high key look so lightened the background did a bit of dodging and burning, duped the backgound layer and ran it through Diffuse Glow and reduced opacity.

funny, my niece's name is shoshana.

A bunch of color half-tones and a bitmap overlay with layer masks.

I didn't have time for this month's contest, so here's my attempt at vexelization in B&W.
