Jaykita -- a beautiful tribute to a sweet husband!

JustChecking -- it's still a rose, but it's a lovelier rose!

Thanks a bunch, C.J. Your stained glass effect is wonderful, magical! I can see the light shining through!
Beautiful soft effect, raniday.
Powerful "masculine" effect, Dave! Grrr!
Very nice watercolor, Mark. Very feminine.
J.C., Neve, great job!
Con, your rose is absolutely gorgeous. I agree with Legacy art. What girl would resist a man who could paint this way for her.

Hi Legacy Art (you smooth talking thing),

Thank you for those kind words.

Re your question regarding the "Rose Brush",

I simply selected the rose to copy onto its own Layer and while it was Selected I went to the Edit menu and used "Define Brush", at which stage a dialogue box will open allowing you to Name the brush. Click "OK". From there it becomes just another Brush with all the usual options of size and opacity etc.

From this point I just created an empty Layer below my cut out Rose and started Painting away modifying the color and size every now and then until the Layer was full. I did the same with another Layer at reduced Opacity just to create a bit more depth.

Hope this brief note makes sense to you.

Regards

Con

Red face Hi Con

I just made my boyfriend laugh, he said what you doing, i said i am turning a rose into a brush, his face was funny, he just said "whatever makes you happy" and walked away laughing, i am sure he will tell his Mum i have lost the plot completely now.

CJ you should take up making patterns for stain glass windows!!!
