I thought it best to keep kitty looking somewhat normal....

I adjusted levels and curves and overlayed a bit of a brown texture to it and turned down the Opacity to about 20%.

PS watercolor filter - my observation - if u gaussian blur the image (approx 3) before applying the filter (approx 6-8,0,1) you get a better wc effect (in my opinion)
For this one, i also used custom filter to sharpen, texture sandstone.

K, I took your image (hope you dont mind), desaturated it, and applied usm (78,250,0) and (according to me) it was a perfect pencil sketch effect.
Thank You, you've given me a brilliant idea!!

Talking Love the Kitty

Ok, I just got my Graphire3, and I don't think I'll ever use a mouse again for anything. I also got Photoshop Elements and Painter Essentials, so I've been busy playing with them as well. Lots of fun choices now. Anyway, for Peepers here I used PSE and used the sponge filter, and two blend mode layers, multiply and color dodge. I varied the opacity, and finally used the Impressionist Brush, with one of the drop shadow brushes. Hope you like. Have to go to sleep now, as I can't keep the eyes open any longer. Night night all.
P.S. I loved everyone's work as usual, but Sidis, I really love the Goth Cat.

A great pic on which to try the new toy. One of these days I'll get one of these things. Which size did you get? (Not that size matters or anything... )

Oh Danny, whatever are you waiting for? Even a used 4x5 on e-Bay would be great. I feel like a little kid in a candy store. Everytime I play with a new brush, I get a whole new flavor of sugar.
