Fizz

Nice work with your first ever tablet. I have the same one and same size it has become a valuable tool for alot of techniques. Don't forget to program your switch on the side of the pen!

Mehdi plugins

Trying out some filters from here.....

Mehdi plugins

This was Edges Fx, aniso'd and multiplied.
High key levels and multiplied the shadows back in.
Tweaked with Mehdi's HSL Plus

Peepers again.

Being new here I am being spurred on by all of you to try out different morev capabilities in Photoshop CS than I have before. Here then is my second humble submission. It is a simple version, quick to do in that I just used Ripple, then Gaussian blur. Tell me more, puleeze!

Good for you for jumping on your #2 project so quickly, George. I admire your enthusiasm.

Here's a combination that should work pretty well on this one:
* Artistic > Dry Brush (for an arty look) followed by
* Brush Strokes > Spatter (to rough up the edges a bit)

Peepers is a great model. No movement no meowing...just sitting there like a good kitty.

Both of these renditions were done with the pattern stamp.

This first one is peepers painted with oil brushes all on one layer.

The second is dry brushes on 4 seperate layers with assorted blending and opacity settings on each.
