I've been meaning to have a go at this one for ages and I finally got round to it !

Increased resolution to 300 dpi and altered brightness/contrast etc first.

Duplicated background layer 3 times.

On first duplicate applied Little Ink Pot's Thredgeholder filter, set blend mode to luminosity, 100%

On second duplicate applied Little Ink Pot's Chalkaholic filter, set blend mode to soft light, 100%

Set blend mode of third duplicate to soft light 100%.

Copied all layers into new layer (Select All, Copy merged, Paste) and applied brush strokes crosshatch

How did I miss this one earlier? Must be losing it! An Morgan Roadster . . . I'm in love . . . wonder how this would be when it comes to actually driving it? Would I love to find out!

Great renditions, everyone. For mine, I started with some levels adjustments, a little bit of buzz, some Mike Finn PopArtist, adjusted the colors, and then some Impressionist chalk and watercolor, faded, and some VP oil, faded. Then back to Impressionist for Danny's oil preset, and a solid color adjustment layer and a grunge brush to reveal the image. Finally, a little texture . . . and it's done.

I thought about making the roadster red, but this one is so classic I think it looks better in a darker color. Hmmm. maybe a dark burgundy would work . . . will have to find some time to try it. (I have a thing for red roadsters - just look at my avatar!)

The original Morgan was one of my favorite cars ever. They had, I seem to recall, a wood frame (someone feel free to correct me if I'm imagining this). The new version presumably doesn't. It's still a joy to behold.
I did this in CS2 and Painter.

Yes there were made of wood and i think still are (hence the price)

Thanks, Palms - it's gratifying to know the tradition goes on. I did some web searching and it turns out it's the body substructure, not the chassis as some (like me) believe, that's wood (ash, to be exact).
