A few weeks ago I saw a trick photo with an image of a young boy placed in a jam jar... his mom waz looking into the jar .......it waz so cool ....I would love to know how to do this, Please Help if you can.........

This effect was discussed in the soap bubble thread.
I would suggest that some displacement effects would be in order if you were to use a jar which has a more textured surface than does a bubble for a realistic effect.
Guru's network has an extensive tutorial on making and using displacement maps. You just need a good stock image of a jar http://www.gurusnetwork.com/tutorial/displace/1/
nice cassidy but, wouldnt she be warped or barrel distorted a bit due to the curvature of the glass? (i'm such a nit-picker ... sorry, it's compulsive )
