How can I place two separate people on one photo?

I've got two separate photos but would like to know how can I put both of them on one photo together.

In general terms, by selecting one or both of the figures involved and copy and pasting them to the background of choice.

To be more specific it would help if you posted the pictures, then we can tell you the best way to accomplish it with the particular images you're working on.

Hi,

Gerald,

I agree with Gary about posting the images since everything depends very much on the picture and the new background ... but here and here you can see it done and read some of the things you have to be careful of when combining pictures...

Gerald, can you post the pictures? It will give me an idea of what you want to do and how to do it. I use PhotoImact, and am quite good actually at montages, if that's what you want. I've got a wee bit more experience of late in PS 6 and might actually master it one day!

Gerald, here's one I've done of my little girl and I but it's quite artsy, actually. She and I weren't in the same room when the photos were taken. I hope I've uploaded the photo properly.

Do you just want to concatenate two photos side-by-side into a single wide photo? Or do you want to extract a person from each photo and make them appear like they are in the same shot at the same time?
