Question Burnt Edges

Does anybody know of a can't miss technique to add burnt edges to a print?

I have a client that wants me to create a 16x20 enlargement printed on canvas. she has asked that I create a burnt look around the edges. There are a few tutorials out there but I was wondering if any of the amazing people here at RetouchPRO had any killer techniques or tutorials to recommend.

As always, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Alan

Re: Burnt Edges

Alan this tutorial is for making one of those old wanted posters. It shows you how to give the paper that old distressed look. I am not sure if it will be of any help but perhaps you could check it out here . Scroll ahead to page 9 (the final page) to see the end result.

Re: Burnt Edges

Alan, I whipped this one up in a moment or two using (I cheated) AutoFX Photographic Edges programme.
