| replace a face in a painting Probably asked at least twice, but I can't find an answer: When I replace the face on an old painting with a photograph, I can't get these little cracks in the orignal painting to show up in the new face. How do I do that? (Think Hillary Clinton's face on Mona Lisa) Thanks! |

| Re: replace a face in a painting You need separate cracks. You can find them perhaps in a one colored section of the painting. You can use that as a texture, by for instance use the highpass filter ( radius 1.0 or so ) and put that on a separate layer so it covers Hilarys face, and change blend mode to Overlay. If the cracked part is to small you can make a pattern of it so you can fill a larger area. |
