| | | Re: Water Dress (AMAZING work!) - Possibly NSFW - parcial nudity water is hard to film, when i do drinks with like ice splashing i uswaly film the water splash seperate, then photoshop it into the drink later. The best way to film water is on a black backdrop. |

| | | Re: Water Dress (AMAZING work!) - Possibly NSFW - parcial nudity Sorry it took so long. Even these numbers aren't perfect but I am hammered here with work so could only look at them for a moment.
For KR1156's image start out with these in Calculations:
Source 1 Red
Source 2 Blue
Blending Add
Opacity: 30 offset:-244 Scale: 1.03
Then use apply image to clean up and a brush to remove the rim of the glass.
For JMB's image that he put up:
Start with Calculations
Source 1 R inverted
Source 2 B
Blend Add
Opacity 100 Offset: -174 Scale: 1.021
Mask
Grey
Then use apply image to clean up. Might be some density at the top of the spray though.

Even if its false, it still looks good and at least now it only needs tweaks instead of some time trying just to get the mask.
Good luck

Chris | Some really nice tip, Chris. Definitely a great technique to add to my arsenal. The farthest thing I've gone with Calculations is b+w conversion. How are you determined which channel to blend? I've always wanted go get Katrin Eismann Masking and Compositing book. Are you involved with that book as well?

In her first and second book on retouching and restoration she has some of my calculations stuff in there.

gerry | Channel Chops is considered the best book on calculations, but good luck trying to find a copy....i've heard that it can sell for over $400 on ebay as it is out of print, and Bert Monroy said there are no plans for a reprint or version 2 of the book, at least not on his end... http://www.amazon.com/Photoshop-Chan.../dp/1562057235 |
