i'm no expert with calculations but it does seem like a powerful tool, makes you wonder why adobe wanted to get rid of it from photoshop...

Hi

when I first seen that image I instantly loved it. So much I tried my own version.

Photography and retouching by myself.

Retouched with wacom gaphics tablet, cs3 and my beat up old windows laptop.

Still a bit rough around the edges kinda job but I didn't think it was to bad for my first attempted with using water in my work.

Hope you like it.

Rob

I showed these Water Dress shots to one of my photographers and he said they could have made an acrylic base splash dress and then splashed real water on it to get the flying water pieces. I know that she was wearing a nude bikini from the website behind the scenes.

Gisele does get topless for shoots but it is in her contract to not have any nip showing. I've retouched her a number of times, she is amazing. One of LaChapelle studio managers got fired for sending out the unretouched version to German GQ with nip showing he also was sued. What a mess.

My Favorite most beautiful Model is Adriana Lima, oh Stunning, she really doesn't need much retouching at all anywhere. I worked on her for VS

Rob, great results.

Do you also use calculations? Could you tell us your steps?

I still don't understand what to do with the new channel that results from calculations.
Do you load the channel, copy the image and paste it in front of the model image?

which is an ok tutorial, but doesn't really have anything to do with the water dress, or how to use calculations better
