How To Paste A Illustrator Files On A Bitmap Image Hello every one: My problem is how can I paste/compase an illustrator (.ai) or corel draw (say a vector image onto a bitmap image (in photoshop for example) like a sticker. I have to place a name of a milk can on a photo that I shot. I can not use just the free transfom tool or distostion tool in photoshop. The can is round so what I have done did not look real. Is there any tutorial/plug-in or any ways to complete the task? Please help. Many thanks in advance. Peter

Re: How To Paste A Illustrator Files On A Bitmap I I'm curious why you can't do it in photoshop. If you want it tool look real, that's where I would do it. You can add are work in Illustrator. Import your bitmap, and create your new artwork in a new layer.

Re: How To Paste A Illustrator Files On A Bitmap I Much depends on what version of PS you are using as to what you can do. Most any version of PS will let you PLACE an Adobe EPS file. If you are using CS2 or 3, you can copy paste from Illustrator or PLACE into PS as a smart object. Make a duplicate of the Smart Object layer and use Layer>Smart Object>Rasterize. You can then manipulate the rasterized version with the warp tool.

Re: How To Paste A Illustrator Files On A Bitmap I Thanks a lot for your quick respond: I was not clear on what I asking so this is the problem again: I have one vector file. It's the label of a bottle created in illustrator (see pic). One photo of a bottle (Photoshop file) which I have shot (see pic). At the time of retouching, I need to place the label over the label of the bottle and it must look real. I have to do this because you may already know that the one on the bottle is blure once printed large size. I tried many way in Photoshop, Illustrator, and Corel Draw but no luck. I tried to google but still not find any solution. So if you know any way, filter, actions... please HELP! Thanks, Peter

Re: How To Paste A Illustrator Files On A Bitmap I i was able to do it in photoshop with the warp tool and a lot of patience, some people prefer to use the distortion and wrapping tools in illustrator as it has the 3d filter AKA adobe dimensions...
