Landscape composite/ stitch..

Hello all, I have been wanting to play with stiching multiple photos together to make a really hi-res image for a while.
It snowed here in England today so I thought it would be the perfect to try on this nice little castle that I know of.

4 shots composited together then processed, i took the shot this morning and have spent the rest of the day constructing it. :-)

I have done a few of these...I use to spend hours transforming until all the lines matched up and longer in curves to balance it all out. I discovered a feature not too long ago that made me feel downright stupid after putting so much effort into retouching panoramic shots.

very nice picture... but why you don't use a stitching software?

I used the photomerge in Elements but am challenged (!! fristrated) by trying to get the sky really blended across the photo. I'm new - I'd attach the photo if I knew how! So advice would be great - the automatic blending didn't seem to work.

Skys are tough, true. But, I love what you did with it, even if it meant changing the tones. BTW: love the toning.

Sometimes, you have to adjust for the skys on your own, prior to stitch with autoadjust off and then layer the foreground back in.

thanks guys, I actually used StitcherUnlimited to do the stitch, then just spent a lot of time correcting and toning!

Very cool. Looks like something out of Lord of the Rings or similar. The isolation really works for it.
