Re: I need help!

  1. Duplicate original
  2. Create white layer under it.
  3. Select duplicate, use quck selection tool to select the background.
  4. Click the make layer mask and the selection should turn black. If the model is black then invert the mask.

Many other ways to make the selection but this took under 3 min.

Hope this helps,
-Keven

Re: I need help!

  1. Select the color from in between the arm.
  2. Fill the white layer sugested above with the color.
  3. Make a new layer.
  4. PWL or just paint with black and white at low opacity large brush.
  5. When your done, gaussian blur at about 2.5 ish pixles to blend things in.
  6. Adjust opacity of layer if needed to also blend more.

Here is what I came up with, not exact but im not going to spend 30 min trying to make it perfect. You can increase the contrast to more easily see where to draw the black.

prodigyboy, welcome to RetouchPRO

What retouching software do you have? This will help focus the tips to the programs you have available to work with.

The "P" Man (Keven) has told you correctly... make a background!

Re: I need help!

You can save it as a PSD or JPEG then copy and paste it into your current project. But if your going to do this, I would make one as big as your going to need one (like for a 12 MP camera at full size) then save the big one. When you need something smaller, just size it then copy and paste.
