disappearing text

Hi, I added some text to some pictures and saved the file. When I tried to make a collage of the pictures with the text I dragged them onto a new canvas. WHen I did this, the pictures moved but the text was missing. Did I miss a step? Does anyone know how I can solve this problem? Thank you.

Hey Hannah I think you posted this in the wrong section. But maybe the text was on a different layer than the picture so only the picture got dragged over.

hi,
a couple of different ways to do.... now i am assuming that the orginal image is a psd file with a image layer and your text layer.....

1. you can "save as" a let say jpg or tif file, and then bring that into your collage...

or....

2. you can merge the the layers in you psd and have a single layer with all that vissable then click drage....

now this is meathod i use to not only merge the layers but still keep the other layers seperate (normally when you do a meger you lose all the seperate layers....

1. create new layer on top of the layer stack and make sure it active.....
2. make sure youhave the eye's open for all the ones you want visable..
3. now holding the alt key on the pc (for mac i think it the option key) , go to your layer menu and click "merge visable"
4. voila you now have a single layer at the top that contains all the elements of the seperate layers and yet you still have the previous seperate layers..

now you can click and drag that merge layer to your collage ..
