Re: help me!! Sorry Adsmith but the image has had much more done to it than lighten and even. Cloning / Patching on the sideburn, the right cheek, both eyebrows, the hairline along the forehead, the hair at the back of the head, etc. Then the image has gone through a nice dodge and burn to both reduce and increase contrast where required and to remove the grunge between the eyebrows and a few wrinkles like on the neck. Cheeseboygw, the is not one link to send you to but there are many tutorials here at RP and elsewhere on portrait retouching. There is no magic filter or solution. You will need to read and learn and practice. There are also some retouching video courses you can access or purchase on line. Regards, Murray

Re: help me!! I'm with mistermonday on this one. The portrait has has way more done to it than a quick fix. I'd also suggest taking some of the webinars that the site administrator, Doug Nelson, has had or will have here at RTP. The techniques and expertise given therein would be extremely beneficial for the kind of retouching you are talking about. Good luck in your Photoshop journey. It is one that constantly changes and grows. Have fun. Janet

Re: help me!! These webinars are held periodically and at random times. There is no schedule published in addvanced. However you can subscribe to at the link below and whenever a webinar gets scheduled you will recv notification. At this time the webinars are only available thru live attendance and are not recorded for replay or resale after the event. Still, Doug manages to set up some very prominent and skilled people to do the webinars and they are worthwhile participating in. http://www.retouchpro.com/phplist/?p=subscribe Regards, MM
