Is the perspective right?

I try to match the perspective of the the plane with the perspective from the mouse! What do you think?

I'm using photshop cs4 extended.

I think the left or bottom left corner of the mouse needs to go down a small amount.

Are you trying to center the mouse over the intersection of the green lines?
Are you trying to center the mouse in the brown/red lined circle?
If you are, it isn't.

The mouse does look to be lying flat on the gridded surface.

I think you're dead-on. All the parallels match the grid - nice work. If you replaced the grid with a solid surface and added appropriate cast shadows it will look believable.

I agree as well. The placement in reference to the flat grid looks correct to my eyes. As mentioned, on a surface, other than a grid, it would look fine.
