Re: Problem with shadows I think.

Your welcome Canna. I thought that might give some insights.

And thanks Amica for the demo, I am definitely going to give that tool a close look. I think I could use that!

That doesn't seem a very professional tool though. A shadow is supposed to sharp as it's closer to the object, and blurs (sometimes till vanishing) as it gets distant.

I agree with you Dropt yet I can easily compensate for that with a Blur Layer and a gradient mask.

Thanks for pointing out that issue though since I may have missed it. Also, do you know of a better supplemental tool to use to help productivity in the creation of shadows. I'm game if there is a better one.

Re: Problem with shadows I think.

The QUICK example I showed has not been worked on in PS. You do however have a slider for the sharpness, you will still need to adjust it in PS to you liking - with a gradient for instance - to get a better result. I have never claimed that this tool is professional, but it does a good job. Still better than placing a blob under the subject :-)

Whilst I agree with many of the comments above, to me the number one distracting factor is the scale of the dogs, even to to the grass they seem too large and the tree in the background seems to add to the scaling issues. Just my tuppence worth.

Thank you very much Mike for that feedback. It is really useful to know these things.
