Re: Good Displacement Map tut for high-res images?
Thanks. Fair enough regarding my displacement filter assessment. I'm new enough to distortion tools that I don't know the strengths/weaknesses of each very well yet. This is my first displacement map attempt. I do think the tut authors would do well to cite the limitations of the tool, but so be it.....
I'll download Blender, have been wanting an excuse to try 3D To save time I'll work with some techniques I'm learning from some DVDs along with Warp, Puppet Warp, etc. and Liquify and see if those do the trick.
