The Best Order Of Attack?

Hi.

This is my first post here, but I have been doing alot of tip and tutorial reading from this site.

I know how to do so much more than before I came to this forum, but I also have sooo far to go before mastering photoshop.

Well, enough with the small talk, let me get to my question.

What is the smartest order of steps to take in making the perfect image?

What I am asking is, should you first remove noise from a picture, then sharpen, or sharpen then de-noise?

What about adjusting color? What step should color be placed in?

How about brightness/contrast?

Here is the order I have been using, but I really don't know if it the right way:

1. Remove noise.

2. Sharpen edges with a mask.

3. Adjust color.

4. Do a final output sharpen....Done.

I searched this forum, and I didn't see this posted. I hope this hasen't been posted before.

Thanks.

Workflow links

What you'll find at this link is complete and total overkill, but I've found no better indepth coverage of workflow. You can soak up what you can for the moment, then come back every once in awhile and more will sink in.

For restoration/retouching specific issues, this looked interesting:

I hope these get you moving. Good luck and welcome to RetouchPRO.
