Red face Helpful picture on face shading

Hey all! I use this picture a LOT when it comes to highlighting and shadowing a face! It was meant for makeup artists but it helps for retouching too. I thought I would share it in case it might help someone else.

Hello backygirly,
Sometimes, I ignore those important shadows and highlights on the face. Your post is very helpful.
Thanks.

Cool! I hope it helps.

As far as the striping goes ~ this photo was made for makeup artists. I'm assuming the dark spots denote the places to put foundation. You would be blending the foundation in after you place it. Hope that helps.
