| | | Can someone help with this I have recently come across this photo and I have been told that the gentleman on the left is of my great grandfather but every effort I've had to make it better has failed so I was hoeing thatt some of the geniuses on here would be able to help.
The photo is more for my mother than myself as she does not have many pics of him, so could someone please help?

| | | i'm afraid you're not going to like most anything which can be done from this scan. it's quite dark and with the folks being so far in the background, the resolution needs to be a lot higher to get some detail back in faces and so on. the darkness kills the detail and the distance kills the detail. if you could scan at a higher resolution it would help.
nonetheless, i gave it a shot, but a higher res scan might help some more. but, even with a higher resolution scan, you may not be able to get as much detail as you'd like. i'm not sure.

| | | Hi all. I agree with Kraellin that a higher resolution would help a lot. However there is not too much detail in the face to bring back. I had a quick go- a couple of screen layers, neat image and lightend the faces with a masked layer. |

| | Mines not any better, just different.
Levels and Curves adj layers.
Neat Image
Dodge and Burn Faces.
The information just isn't there in the faces. Is it possible to get a higher resolution scan and a link to it

| | Cheers for all trying but unfortunately that is the best image I can get, I see to be coming up with all the same results as yourself, but cheers all again anyway. |
