Face Repair

Any suggestions with steps noted would be appreciated. This is my mother and stepfather. I would like to see what you all can do to it , then I would like to try the concepts you come up with. The lines came from scanning .Thanks Neb

Neb, whilst no one's face is totally symetrical, you could copy the left hand side of the face, duplicate it, edit->transform->flip horizontal and then move the selection into place and then edit->free transform and stretch the selection a little, then with a little erasure of the copy get it to blend a little better.

I'd show you, but the scan is in no way flattering, much less the result.

I tried to scan from another scanner which is a canon as well and got the same results. What do you think the problem is with these scanners? I had a cheap scanner before the new one and it did a better job. I will post here and also the other forum , maybe someone there might know. Thanks Neb
