Good morning people, I have a challenge which I have been given by my Wifes Mum, which in turn is of her mum. The image used to be in color but now is looking rather sad. The picture is stuck to the glass faded and color burnt.

So another challenge for me.. but I thought you people may like to have a go as well.

I have scanned and done some initial darkening work to make it more visible, but lets see what can be achieved on this. I will post my final image once I am done also.

Hi Broads

Your picture has quite a few problems. Texture, Fading and has been wet.

I used FFT to remove the texture, but it did not work in the wet area.
Although the picture has a magenta cast to it there is no salvageable colour info, so I desaturated it to make the repairs to the wet area.
I then coloured it in again.
