Action Set for Making Test Strips

This is a really nifty action set!

It simulates printing test strips in a chemical darkroom. That's where you would use a frame to expose just an inch or two at a time of the photographic paper, changing the exposure or the settings on a dichroic color head each time.

The current version supports test strips for exposures, contrast, boost/reduce shadows/highlights, and saturation boost/reduce (overall and six different color ranges).

Future versions will add Digital Velvia, color balance, color correction, etc.

I used Transform Selection rather than Contact Sheet II in order to keep the action compatible with pre-CS/CS2 versions of Photoshop.

If you have not downloaded the TLR Tone Enhance action set, you will need it for the tonal comparisons. Even if you ahve downloaded it previously, I made some minor changes. You should download version 1.0c.

Free download to all!

Enjoy!

Cheers,

Mitch

Thanks, Danny!

Always a pleasure to bump into you.

It is a nifty little action set.

I will probably make one for Photoshop CS/CS2 that uses Contact Sheet II so that text can also be easily incorporated to label the test images (Contact Sheet II would use thumbnails instead of strips).

I'll wait and see if there is a demand for a CS/CS2-specific version.

Cheers,

Mitch
