Hi Cliff.

I’m still not sure what is in-between his hands. I think it may be blur where he has moved during the exposure. Anyway I removed it.

I started with a mix of the red and green channels
I used blur to remove a lot of the marks and then added noise back
The marks on his leg were removed with a layer set to overlay.
Neat Image.
Finally I added the sepia tone.

I really had a hard time with the jpeg artifacts, but I took a crack at it just the same.

Smile Many thanks to all!

It's always nice to be able to get assistance and learn something - in this case perhaps 3 things. A big "thank you" to all who participated.

It would appear that there was some movement of several of the boy's fingers on his left hand. Whatever it was that was on his lap or in his hand perhaps is anyone's guess. I chose to eliminate it completely.

I'll probably finish it up in the next day or two. I've done about 5 different takes on it, each one better than the previous ones.

Merry Christmas,

Hi Cliff, everybody,

I had a go at your picture...

I also used the channels for density and most of the steps described in this Tutorial to finish the restoration.
