| Usually there is but it depends how much of their body is available to excise from the background. The success will also depend on what surrounds the person. Try attaching an image and you can get a opinion or someone will actually try it. Regards, Murray            |

| Yes it is possible. I usually do it via magnetic lasso tool in PS. Going slowly around the person, I highlight them, feather slightly, layer via copy and then drag that layer to the new image. All those things are in 'right click menu'. Then once in the new image, I right click and choose free transform, to put them where I want them and at the right size etc. I agree though if you can upload an image then people can see what they can do. |

| There's a lot of different ways to "select" a person or object and move it to another setting. Which one you use will depend greatly on the background surrounding the object/person you wish to remove. As the others have already said, post an image, and we can advise you on which would be the best for your situation. |

| Pen tool The pen tool is really good for making a path and saving it. You can then turn that into a selection. You really need to do some tutorials to learn these basics in Photoshop. Try online learning. www.lynda.com or www.totaltraining.com |

| Hi Sharon! Welcome to RP!  Images speak louder than words ... particularly in the line of jobs or hobbies most of us here have ... so, here is a practical example of what can be done Attachment 1: Original photo 1 ... me taking picture from the roof terrace and being photographed at the same time ... Attachment 2: Original picture 2 ... a nice beach full of penguins .... Attachment 3: Combined pictures ... me + shadow, photographing the penguins while being photographed at the same time ... As already said, it's a matter of accurate selection, copying and pasting, adapting for size, perspective, lighting/exposure,colour, contrast and sharpness, shadow (being very careful of the position of the light source) ... and I might have forgotten something ... but ... it can be done ...  I do what "aylaah" does and it works very well! Yeah Flora i knew you would be around somewhere, that is perfect!!! Follow "aylaah" tut and your get similiar to Flora pictures. Good Luck, show us your pictures, before and after we might be able to help more so. Ella xxx |

| Question: Is there a way? Hello Everyone, I'm sorry I haven't put these on here sooner, we had a family problem. Here are the two photos I wanted to see if the wife and 2 girls could be removed from the first one and the heavy set man in black overalls in the second one could be put in the place of the wife. These two men are brothers and we don't have a photo of them together. I thank everyone who answered my first post, and again I'm sorry I didn't get them on here sooner. Sharon |
