| RGB Channels By BamaCutie on Thursday, July 12, 2001 - 08:46 am: I've been reading alot of online forums about digital retouching and have found alot of folks who retouch in regards to RGB channels. I have a photo with some type of mold damage and checked out the RGB channels and found that the blue channel showed the damage more than the other two. How do I handle this? Do I work directly on the blue channel? I'm totally curious... Could someone out there shed some light? Thanks. ~Maya~ By Doug Nelson (doug) on Friday, July 13, 2001 - 07:44 am: Is it a color or B/W photo? If B/W, pick the channel that looks the best and use it, discarding the other two. In color you can try working on a single channel, just make sure you don't rearrange anything in relation to the other two channels, or you'll have color spots.
