I took a few pictures outside and they all have red skin tones. I am new to ps and I can't figure out how to fix this. Could someone please help me out. I would be forever grateful to you
I don't know if the colors are correct in this post, but I went to IMAGE>ADJUSTMENTS>HUE/SAT. Then I selected the red color where it says master and reduced the saturation by moving the slider to the left. You get a negative number. This can also probably be corrected using LAB color mode. The picture on the right was a second try, but may have too much red in it. Tried to correct this using LAB color.
Try a simple levels adjustment. Click the white and black eye droppers in the places as indicated on the original and change the red midtones to 0.95 and the green midtones to 1.05. (Note:my white eye dropper is set to an HSB Brightness Value of 95 and my Black Eyedropper to an HSB Brightness Value of 5). I also sharpened it a little but that was only because the picture is so small. Any chance of posting a larger version?
I'm sorry the image was so small (I'm a retouch pro rookie) I read the thread on resizing so lets see if this is any better... Thank you DC for posting your instructions I tried it your way and attached the image. Syd thank you also, I attached it with your instructions. Let me know how they look. Gary thank you for referring me to the link to show me how to upload pictures. That was very helpful. :-)
