nice colorization, ashley.

but, before you do the colorizing, (or during, if you prefer that method), you need to fix the washed out areas, the too bright areas. the photo was taken in bright sunlight, giving harsh lights and too dark shadows. a re-balancing of that would help your colorizing a lot.

try the brightness/midtones/shadows filter. you might even be able to fix the already colorzied image this way.

so, the colorizing is good. you just did it over a poorly lit image.
