Re: Need help on restoring My mothers photo

You may already know this, but if you could persuade someone to buy you a copy of Restortion and Retouching by Katrin Eismann for Christmas, it will be the best tutorial book you could own for learning the techniques. I bought it, and have never enjoyed learning so much, take a look at it on her website and at the before and after contributions from her readers www.digitalretouch.org

Re: Need help on restoring My mothers photo

thanks, susie

this one was a bit frustrating, not because of the work, but because psp kept crashing on me near the end. so, all my work on the end job kept getting lost and i had to pick up and start again. normally, psp is fairly stable, though i do keep my auto-save on. and that being said, i turned my auto-save down to every five minutes instead of the 15 i normally keep it at. good thing there wasnt anyone from Corel in the room with me, either

Re: Need help on restoring My mothers photo

Great job everybody!!!!

Great picture to 'play' with....

I worked on the smaller size because I wanted to keep the 'crispness' of the image .... Unfortunately, with any kind of resizing something gets lost...

I also opted for a softer vignette to minimize the hard, cut edges..
