Question Lots and Lots of Cracks

I've done a search on this and found a couple of different ideas but what is the main census on removing little cracks all over a photo? Is just the clone tool and many hours staring at the screen the best way or are there other that work without to much blurring?

Thanks

Re: Lots and Lots of Cracks

Ctein's crack masking (in Digital Restoration from Start to Finish) works well on some photos but not all. You might not find any real consensus on what works best because it depends so much on the individual photo.

Re: Lots and Lots of Cracks

hi djanvk, and welcome to RP.

i think lurch says it best when she says it depends so much on the individual photo. there are quite a few options when dealing with cracks and such, including actions, filters and plugins, and even stand-alones. so, it just depends
