Gran - Old Photo Restore

Hi everyone, i dont know much about restoration and ust wondered if anyone could help me restore this image to its former glory

It s better You scan it again with higher resolution, with bigger picture I can help you to restore it. I love to play with photoshop but not with a small scan picture...

What retouching software do you have? This will help focus the tips to the programs you have available to work with.

I am using Photoshop CS3...just visit to see the 1st link you told me, I try to fix it...

How do you define help? If you want to learn how to do it yourself, just ask and I'll tell you how I got to this . . . except you'd need my grandmother's nose.

I selected the red channel using channel mixer that was the best preserved
I used curves to adjust contrast
I used various photoshop patch tools etc
I redrew part of the nose
I used neat image which helped a lot

I used the patch tool, noiseware noise removal software, levels adjustment layer and then used a gradient map to add the color.
