Re: faded (stained?) photo suggestions

Thank you for posting the additional picture. Colorization is probably one of my weakest areas, but I try. Using the hair and skin color in the second photo, I gave the original post another try and got only a slight shift in skin and hair color from one of my previous posts.

In checking the channels, the stain seems to be in the green and blue channel. Was some attempt made to colorize the original post? The red channel seems to be pretty good.

I noticed that as well... that's why I was at a loss 'bout knowing where to start. The only thing that I did to the original was crop it...

That's a though one. I went absolutely nowhere with it. Well not anywhere I thought was a significant improvement over the original.

Nice job mayberry, particularly the hairs.

I also inverted the green cast on hair, and then used color blend mode (and cloning as color mode too)

This is one those photos where you really need to explore different blending modes etc.

Re: faded (stained?) photo suggestions

tricky image. had to have a go

this is all adjustment layers, color balance, hue/sat and contrast/brightness, nothing more. no blend modes, no airbrush, no smudge or any of my other normal tools.

Hey swarbees, welcome
Looks good! I'm lazy, so I'll just point you. Go back to the first page of this post and look at Olbaldys signature, he has a link to how to resize to post.
