Help restoring some photos

Hey there, Its been a while since I've posted last. I need some help... I'm stuck! I have two photos that had faded, and I need some help restoring them. The first one is much worse then the second, but I can't seem to get the second one looking good either. I have tried messing around with the channels and curves, but I just can't get it right. Play with color balance, selective color, hue/sat, and masking.
All the rest is cloning and more cloning.

I had a bit play with this one, other one too hard ...Diego81 has done a great job though.

ty =) They look better then what I was doing. I was messing with the hue/sat which definitely cleared up the picture but it turned into black and white, and I was having such a hard time bringing out the color. I appreciate the help!

Heres my quick go at it. It is by NO means finished. I tried to fix the color damage by replacing the most damaged channel and then adjusted the hue and saturation. I'll play a little more later and also with your other one.
