| Expensive photograph damaged in professional frame I took my pressious one of a kind 1/1 signed photograph to a professional framer to be framed. When I picked up and took it home, I noticed that there were two large bumps on front side of the photo. The bumps sizes looked like tapes in back of the photo. They had used some kind of gluepaper to attach the photo to the frames of the matte. I guess it was too wet, so the photo sucked the moist and thats how the large bumps were born. How can I fix this? Does gluepaper come off with only water? Its on KODAK-photopaper. The photo is worth of around 5000 - 10.000 euros. It is only one in the world and signed on the back. | Re: Expensive photograph damaged in professional f hi kilonet and welcome to RP. the first thing i would do is contact the framer and find out from them what glue/adhesive they used, and then i'd find out, again from them, if possible, how to remove it safely. and then i'd find out why in the world anyone, especially a professional framer, would attach, with glue(!), a precious, expensive image to matte paper! that just seems VERY unprofessional to me! |
