Re: Great Great Grandpa Joe

Thanks OB and Kate! You're not a copycat OB, I sure didn't invent that look.
I really like the way you added his name. Very elegant.
Mikiez, glad you like it. If you need the larger version let me know.

Photo Restoration, Retouching, Manipulation, etc.., are all based on knowing the tools you have available to you. Learn the tools and their uses and you can apply them to almost any situation you come across.. The old adage "Practice Cubed" means a lot when learning/using Photoshop.

The following links, among others that other members will surely offer, are some good resources to learn the tools and their usage:

http://revision3.com/pixelperfect/page/all/

http://www.russellbrown.com/tips_tech.html

http://tv.adobe.com/#pd+Photoshop

http://www.photoshop-tutorial.co.uk/

http://www.photoshoproadmap.com/Photoshop-tutorials
(look on right hand side in the categories box)

If you can do it using the tools and techniques in Version 7.. then for sure you can do it using a newer version.. (None of the newer versions have "THE Magic Button" ~~~ YET!!)

Good Luck feeding your addiction!

That guy's amazing. What a tremendous amount of output. I'm a huge fan of his "Dr. Brown's 1-2-3". Being able to crank out a few versions simultaneously is a real bonus on many occasions.
