Re: A little help please

Thanks OlBaldy, Andy and Jon. They look good. I'm still working on it and taking all the suggestions in.
OlBaldy, looks like you did more than just a rough quickie.

Re: A little help please

I think I'm as done as I'm going to get. It still doesn't look right. Maybe too much contrast or too dark.
I took your advice Tommy and left as much of the dirt as I could tolerate. The apron was driving me crazy though. I threw a layer of gingham check over it and lowered the opacity a to even it out a little and hide the worst of it. It might be too clean now. It's getting hard for me to judge. Been looking at for hours.
Thanks for all the advice and ideas.
Nan

Re: A little help please

You made a lot of great improvements, I had fun working it as well. I like to see how everyone does things and try their ideas and techniques. I thought I should upload my final version.

Kate and Jon, they both look great. Jon, you got it a lot sharper than I did and Kate, a lot cleaner mine.
Thanks for working on it.

Re: A little help please

Nan,
I like yours very much. It's very sharp, with good contrast. I would just do a test print at home and make sure the checked pattern on the apron is not lost. Then just tint to your liking.

Great job !

Re: A little help please

Thanks Tommy. I printed it on plain paper for now and it looks pretty good so I'm going to call it finished.
Thanks for the help.
