Old Photo Restorations

Just wondered if anyone would like to have a go at these.
The sizes on these were 2x3 and 4x5 the customer wants 5x7's and 8x10's. thought you might get a kick out of that.

Well this came out a little dark but it was fast. I used a channel mixer adjustment layer and used the green channel. I used multiply as the blending mode for that adjustment layer. On top of that layer I used a curves adjustment layer

Just curious... can you do your best retouch work, enlarging and preparation for print media using Gif Format?

I actually was working with a tif format and changed it to gif as photobucket didnt allow a tif file.
Phil - looks bout the same as what I got out of it... to get all the way it needs to be seems to come out dark. When I printed it - I used high quality grey scale.
yes, Ill post them later, I just want to see what others come up with first.

If you have few colours .gif can be a good option - there's always a trade-off somewhere.

Had a go:
- Equalized
- Double sized
- Smudged the folks
- Median on the background

Since cupcake showed her colorized version. I'll share what Im working on at the moment.
Its the same pic posted here, but I cropped it and added the rest of the boys body then colored it. Still working on it but this is what I have to date.
