| Re: Help photos stuck togather First things first... DON'T just try to just rip them apart. You'll just tear the surface and either damage them beyond repair or create more work for yourself when it comes to restoration. I was recently given a box full of pictures to restore that were pretty badly water damaged and stuck together. I had a lot of success by dripping water between the pictures, and carefully trying to pull them apart. That can work if they aren't stuck together too badly. If they're really stuck, you can put the photo in water until they come apart on their own. I used distilled water, since I've heard that's what you're supposed to do. It worked fabulously for me, though I lost one or two that were just too badly damaged. I'd probably recommend that unless the pictures are stuck face-to-face like some of mine were, you scan them before attempting this technique. That way, if something goes wrong, you'll still have the scan of the top photo. Good luck! |
