Ron, Although I alWAYs agree with Baldy, I think that possibly leaving it askew like that may be more sentimental for your client as it may be one little thing recovered from that crazy happening. They will love it either way. Good job though.

Very good job. Your result is certainly the best. Another alternative would be to simply crop it.

Re: survived from tsunami aceh 2004

looks good, but i dont like enhancing when a restoration is the idea. of course, that varies and is always dependent on what the client wants, as well. so, doing the glow thing with th sky is nice, i suppose, but isnt a true restore. a restore is bringing back what was there. you've done a restore and enhance. the odd thing about this is that if the original was a bad photo to begin with, you actually shld restore it to a bad photo. sounds weird, doesnt it, but that's restoration.

you didnt do anything wrong. you did a nice job, but i do remind folks about this from time to time. if you contract with a client for a restoration and then do a restoration and enhance, you're actually possibly jeopradizing your job, in rare cases. now, again, if the client wants a restore and enhance, then fine. but one needs to be careful of things like this, especially with paying customers.

Good point. How often are we tempted to just straighten or crop things a little!
