Kate, considering what you had to go on, I think the picture turned out nice. It's definitely tough to work on something so tiny and only in greyscale to begin with.

Good job... now throw those hands and arms into the "morgue" to use for future restorations if need be

HA, love the throw away joke...
it is too small for my old eyes any way, I know there a million errors on it but it was just too tiny for me to really give it a good finish...

had a go at this. sorry, this was done over several days, a bit here and a bit there, so i dont really remember the workflow, but it's pretty much my standard stuff, push, airbrush, clarify, brightness/contrast and clone.
