Help, please with removing "dots"

Client brought this in...poor quality reproduction of original (which is gone). I've done my best, but can't remove the dotted pattern. Suggestions are most welcome!

try the FFT filter (fast fourier transform). there is a plug-in by that name and there is a filter in Image Analyzer that will do it, too. in fact, get both the FFT and FFT RPG filters. just do a search in this forum for the links or try in the links library here on this site.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! This plug-in is magic...well, maybe not quite, but it is AMAZING what it can do to remove the pattern! I had no trouble installing it into the CS4 plug-ins folder and following the tutorial. I'm sure this will be most helpful in other restorations. Again, I really appreciate your taking the time to point me in the right direction!
