| Re: 2 more by Jack, C&C requested! how did i do it? lol i wish i had a technique worked out, it was a pretty sloppy method im sure there is a far faster way to do this, i read through a dozen threads with light streaks and they all seem to use a method of copying the red channel and inverting it on the blue channel etc, etc, no matter what i did i couldnt seem to accomplish what they were talking about in any manner whatsoever, it would end up completly wrong, apparently i have a lot to learn about channels. good thing about CS3 is there are a dozen was to skin a cat, you can ALWAYS find a way so i started out duplicating the background, then worked a path around the light leak with a feathered edge, brought that out as a new layer, played with the channel mixed and hue/ssaturation untill i got most of it to the right color. then i ran a color layer to match the colors of the skins and background objects, after that i was pretty much selecting an area light the legs or the hands shirt, etc, bringing it out as its own layer, working on each part exclusivly, then there was a little bit of dodging and burning with the D&B tool (sometimes it has its uses) next i selected the background, ran the dust&scratches filter and did a little work with the patch tool and about 2 hours after i started i was done If anyone can explaain to me how to copy a channel and paste it on another, i would be VERY appreciative cause i cant seem to figure out how to do this, i dont see any copy and paste in the channel levels. :P |

| Re: 2 more by Jack, C&C requested! When you are in the red green or blue channel, choose select/all from the file menu, then edit/copy. Go to the channel you will to replace and choose edit/paste. |
