50 years old photo

Hi.As you see in the photo there are two areas. The area on the left is nearest to black and white but as you move to the right , a yellow tone appears. Is there a technique in photoshop so the photo has a total and smooth black and white tone?Or to make it simpler can you tell me how to remove the yellow area? Thanks a lot.

Re: 50 years old photo

Well This is a sepia tone. So I looked at the channels and it appeared that the green channel was the best. I used channel mixer to use mostly the green and some of the blue channels to make a gray scale image. Then I replaced the background. Finally I added the sepia tone back in.

Re: 50 years old photo

I did a hue adjustment layer, specified yellow channel with saturation and lightness adjustment, then specified blue channel and did the same.

B&W, then sepia.
Heal dark places on the background.
Add frame.

Cloned and stamped left of picture using the right as a source, extracted the couple to their own layer to brighten center of BG, converted to B &W and added color tone.
