My First Post and a recent sample.

I am new to this forum but it looks like there is a decent amount of info here. I have been doing retouching since Photoshop 1. Now I spend most of my time designing but I just recently had the opportunity to do some retouching work on an old photo that had been torn and cracked.

So as my first post I figured I would share the before and afters on this. Let me know what you think. I could have spent another 5 hours on this but they didn't have the money in it.

RallyWRX, welcome to Retouch Pro.

Over all, you have done a great job on a great photo!
Her dress needs a little more attention, but time is money.

Aside:
Doesn't that look like Dennis the Menace's Dad in the 50's T.V show?

Yes, maybe a bit more on the dress. A very good job, one of the best I have seen here. Looking forward to your work.

Thanks, The dress where the crack went through and her ankles are the places where I just ran out of time and while I am a perfectionist, I just couldn't justify the time it would have taken to make it perfect. She already got waaaaay more that she dreamed possible. I will post some of my other works when I get some time.

Welcome to the forum...you did a great job. Thank you for sharing, maybe bring up a little bit the brightness it looks a little too dark. Maybe it is my screen, but overall looks great.

Good job, especially on the patterned carpet (oh so nerve racking!)

Re: My First Post and a recent sample.

you explained what my main crit was going to be which was the area by her ankle. Other than echoing the brightening/contrast suggestion all I can say is great job!
